SECOND BUSINESS

Ms. Zaleski inquired as to the status of Jim Davis and if he would be returning to the Board.  Trustee, Doug Baum stated he had a conversation with Mr. Davis and was informed that the Davis family would be moving out of the Township within six months and Mr. Davis would not be eligible to serve on the Board.  Mr. Baum also went on to say that he was presently searching for an individual to replace Mr. Davis.

OTHER BUSINESS

Ms. Zaleski stated there were some projects the Board should explore for the coming year, one of which, was regulations regarding wind turbines, similar to what Jackson Township is currently exploring.  It was agreed to explore regulations on both turbines on individual properties and wind turbine farms.

Mr. Halter stated the Board should also explore updating the R-2, B-1 & B-2 Zoning Districts to include conditional uses, such as mining which he, as well as Attorney Hall felt were erroneously missed when the regulations were first amended in 2000.

Sharon Perrine, Zoning Inspector reminded the Board about the Law Seminar at the Grand Hotel, provided by the Stark County Prosecutor and Stark County Regional Planning, on Saturday, February 23, 2008.  Ms. Zaleski showed her notice to the other board members and discussed the knowledge they could obtain from the Seminar.  Ms. Perrine said that the Township would pay for the members to attend and if they signed the registration form, so the Fiscal Officer could issue a check in advance.

Ms. Zaleski suggested Attorney Hall be contacted concerning the Jackson Township regulations on the wind turbines and Mr. Baum stated he could get the information for them, as well.

The Board discussed setting a future date for a work session to gather and discuss the various projects suggested.  The board agreed to meet again on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 for a Work Session.
