Pike Township Trustees Regular
Monday, October 6th 2008

 

 

Regular Meeting

 

President Doug Baum called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Trustees Lee Strad and Don Charnetzky were present as well as Fiscal Officer Steve Knox.  Others in attendance were, Clarence Flowers,  Nancy Cramer, Dave Collier, David Ross, Arnie Adams, Louis Grooms, Paul Mosberger, Gary Alkire, Nancy Collier, Scott Briggs, David Collier, Zoning Inspector Sharon Perrine, and Road Supervisor Mark Pahanish.

 

A motion was made by Charnetzky accepting the minutes and financials as presented.  Seconded by Strad.

           

1st Public Speaks Session

Clarence Flowers stated that there was an old appliance that someone threw over the hill by him.

 

New Business

Trick or Treat night will be October 26th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Township.

October 31st there will be a Halloween party at the main fire station.

 

Baum asked for the voters help on both the fire and road levy renewals which will be on the November ballot.

Nothing at this time.

 

Sherriff’s Report

Nothing at this time.

 

Financial Report

Knox stated that he will begin working on the fire contract as well as the annual lease for Dueber station.

 

Road Report

There is a tree at 1880 Howenstine that the neighbor wants us to take down. The Trustees stated that they would look at, but Pahanish said the tree is healthy and really doesn’t need taken down at this time.

 

Zoning Report

Perrine read the zoning report.
