Regular Meeting
President Doug Baum called the meeting to order at
A motion was made by Charnetzky accepting the minutes and financials as presented. Seconded by Strad.
1st Public Speaks Session
Mr. Casto noted a few zoning issues that
Culvert at Maplehurst and Frisco, is dipping down
toward Frisco and is not draining properly. Pahanish will take a look at it.
Dave Sheplett asked about his property at 1681
Battlesburg. The question is the cleanup
bill, and if he can make payments to us.
Just shy of $1,800. He would like
to see if he could do a payment plan.
David Ross gave his opinion stating that people
should be able to use their property as they see fit.
Bob Chapman, in Oct 04, when they were blasting on
the other side of the road, he didn’t have water. A consultant came down and he replaced his
water pump. ODNR came down and showed it
was caved in. he pulled it, but at 77
feet it was caved in. His water is red
and really not drinkable. ODNR said
Buckeye Mining should take care of the well.
Then they were notified by ODNR that it was reviewed
and it was not Buckeye Mining’s responsible.
He had a great well, and now he doesn’t have a great well.
Baum asked if they talked to Cheryl from ODNR. He said Cheryl was told to re-evaluate and it
was then denied. He presented two
letters, one acknowledging
Arnie Adams went to the Village Council, stated that
East Sparta Village Council turned down the 2 mil and will put on a 1 ½
mil. They will make up the difference
out of the General Fund.

Knox presented levy numbers:
Fire Levy .5 mil: Renewal = $36,979
Replacement = $41,898
A motion was made by Strad to approve putting on the .5 mil Fire Levy as a renewal. Seconded by Charnetzky.

Keith Evanoff read his report. 14 different calls, with 11 reports plus a
felonious assault. 6 traffic stops
generated 7 tickets.

Strad stated that they need
to berm Brinker and asked what they will be doing the next couple weeks.
Finish chip and sealing
On May 8th , a
court case labeled Scott Brown vs. the BZA was heard and the judge ruled in
favor of the BZA.
