1st Public Speaks Session

Harriet Beabout who resides in North Industry, but is currently working on selling a property in Pike Township on behalf of a client, stated that she is seeking to get a zone change from R2 residential to B2 business.  There was some very negative responses by the surrounding home owners at the last Zoning Commission Meeting and it was denied at that time, with part of the problem being that she could not answer some of the questions as to what the potential buyer was wanting to do with the property.  She did talk to her potential buyer who is Mr. Hamilton since that meeting, and stated that he wants to tear down the house and put up a cabinet manufacturing company which would basically just do distribution and some light cabinet work.  She wanted to relay that information to the public and would then like to try again to get it re-zoned to B2 with the zoning commission.  One of the big denials is the septic but they are looking into that.

The Trustees set a date for May 12th to have a zoning public hearing for the re-zone at 7:30 p.m.
