1st Public Speaks Session

Zoning Commission meets tomorrow at 7:00 at the Township if anyone would like to come.

Ron Morrow discussed the Tri-Division Ambulance service and the new 24 hour a day policy.

Arnie Adams discussed the Fire Department and also the new Knox-Box’s.  Knox-Box’s are lock boxes that are installed on the side of buildings that contain all of the keys so in case of an emergency, the fire department would be able to get into a building.

Dave Collier stated that they collect aluminum cans as a fundraiser for the burn units and clinics at Akron Children’s Hospital.

He also recommended everyone purchase a blue address marker in case of an emergency.

New Business

Strad said he has an agreement from ODOT for the reimbursement of funds for the repairing of East Sparta Ave.

Strad stated that he talked to our attorney today and had a question about the tentative agreement on the reimbursement of funds for the taxes.  There are two ways to do it, 80% of what we are receiving now.  The Mayor initially agreed with the Trustees that the reimbursement should be 80% of the current taxes.  The Mayor then said she wasn’t totally sure what would be in the agreement and no further discussion occurred.

Strad also asked the Board if he could talk on behalf of the Board to our attorney about the fire department with Arnie Adams, the Fire Chief.  They will discuss all of the possibilities that the Fire Department could endure.
