Regular Meeting

 

President Doug Baum called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Trustees Lee Strad and Bob Anstine were present, Fiscal Officer Steve Knox was absent.  Others in attendance were Nancy Collier(Press News), Nancy Cramer, Louis Grooms, Clarence Flowers, Linda Zaleski, Nancy Snyder, Bob Anstine, Sharon Perrine, Mark Pahanish, and Dave Collier.

 

A motion was made by Strad accepting the minutes and financials as presented.  Seconded by Charnetzky.

           

1st Public Speaks Session

 

A resident asked about the current lawsuits pending.  Strad stated that all of the lawsuits that were filed against us are done and were all found in our favor.  The only thing we are really waiting on now is some of the litigation from other parties against the landfill and then once they are done, the money will be released for the on and off ramp.

 

Deputy Evanoff read his report.  He answered13 calls with 12 reports.  14 traffic stops with 18 citations and 4 taken to jail. 

 

New Business

Nothing at this time.

 

 

Old Business

Baum stated that the electrician he talked to would do the fire station work on the generator but wants to see what the job entails first.

 

Financial Report

 

A motion was made by Strad to advance $3,000 from the General Fund to the Road District Fund.  Seconded by Charnetzky.

A motion was made by Strad accepting the temporary appropriations as presented.  Seconded by Charnetzky.

 

Resolution #01-2008 was passed accepting the following 2008 Temporary Appropriations:

 

General Fund $700,000

Motor Vehicle $16,000

Gasoline Tax $125,000

Road and Bridge $215,000

Cemetery $40,000

Lighting Assessment $6,500

Fire District $150,000

Road District $39,000

 

Total $1,219,500

 

A motion was made by Anstine to accept the above resolution.  Seconded by Strad

A motion was made by Strad to transform $3,000 from account 01-A-26 Other Exp., to Advances Out 01-N-01.  Seconded by Charnetzky.

Road Report

 

Pahanish read the road report.

Agreement with Mr. Stallman has been reached about removing the trees.

Helped with funerals.

Since the ground thawed out, he would like to replace a culvert on Seeman.

Dead tree on Martin Drive that the resident would like removed.  Estimated cost of that is $300.  There is also another one just North of Howenstine on East Sparta Ave. that needs taken down.

 

 

                

Zoning Report

 

Perrine read the zoning report.

The EPA will be putting a hazardous waste trailer out on Riceford to test some of the things coming out of the property in question.

 

Thanked the Road Crew for their help at the cemetery.
