OTHER BUSINESS

Trustee, Doug Baum addressed the Board saying that he and Attorney Hall met with representatives of the City of Canton regarding the City owned property, East, South and Southeast of the Township Hall.  Mr. Baum informed the Board that the City was drafting a request, to present to the Commission, a Zone Change of approximately 100 acres from B-2 to R-1, so the land could be mined.  In their discussion with the City, the Trustees learned that the City is interested in a CEDA agreement whereby, after the mining was complete, the land would be reclaimed and possibly be turned over to the

Township and/or the Stark Parks department as a green space area.  Terms as yet to be determinied.

David Ross, of the Commission, questioned Attorney Hall about the regulations on MOBILE HOME PART DISTRICT (R-3) in regards to the setbacks and attaching garages and/or accessory buildings to the mobile homes.  Attorney Hall said that the zonebook does not spell out any setbacks, except for a ten (10) foot front yard depth.  He asked the Commission to defer any action until he has explored the park and can make a recommendation.

Ramon Halter made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Seconded by Glen Johnstone.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:49 p.m.
