1st Public Speaks Session

Ron Morrow, President of the Tri-Division Ambulance District Board, discussed some billing issues that have affected Pike Township Residents.  Their policy is to never bill residents for ambulance services but on a few occasions, this has happened.  Sometimes a bill goes out from mutual aid coverage in error from other ambulance services and should not.  If this occurs, please contact Tri-Division and they will take care of the bill for you.  There were two residents who were billed incorrectly and both of those are being taken care of.

Don Charnetzky stated that there is a potential hazardous spot by Linda Zaleski’s house.  There is some water that covers the road and then freezes.  Is there anything we can do like a blinking light or some kind of barrier so no one gets hurt?  Anstine will call the County to see if they can do anything.

Louis Grooms thanked Anstine for being a good trustee for the past 12 years.

He then asked about Sheriff Evanoff’s hours and whether they could change them to an occasional night.  Keith said he leaves the Township around 10:00 at night on his current shift.  He can work special hours if the Trustees request it.

Deputy Evanoff stated that he took 4 people to jail, answered ten calls, with 11 reports and did 8 traffic stops, with 12 citations.

New Business

Strad stated that on February 4th at 7:30 p.m., they will be having a joint meeting with the East Sparta Volunteer Fire Department at the Fire Station.

added that they want to put up a sort of dam to block off the aluminum dross section of the cell.  He doesn’t think we should be a burden stopping them from correcting a problem.  They do have to uncover some 3 year old trash which will smell, but it won’t be as bad as last summer.

A motion was made by Anstine to allow Countywide to extend their normal working hours from the date that the zoning inspector issues a permit for a 2 month period. Second by Strad.
