Regular Meeting

 

President Lee Strad called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Trustee Doug Baum was present as well as Clerk Steve Knox.  Others in attendance were Nancy Cramer, Nancy Collier, Sharon Perrine, Ron Katt, Joe Barnes, Jim and Terri Davis, David Ross, Erika Beans and Dave Collier.

 

A motion was made by Baum to accept the minutes and financials as presented.  Seconded by Strad.

1st Public Speaks Session

 

Nancy Cramer thanked the Fire Department and Red Cross for distributing water during the power outage.

She also thanked the Trustees for removing brush.

 

Ron Katt said he was glad to see the “speed” bumps off of route 800.

 

Joe Barnes thanked the Trustees for the cleanup they did after the storm.

 

New Business

Nothing at this time.

 

Old Business

 

Baum stated that we need to set a deadline on receiving brush.  The Trustees agreed to set the deadline to receive brush through the 14th of July. 

 

Strad said that we had a very good response from outside of the Township, and wanted to thank Canton Township, Osnaburg Township, Sheriff Dept., ODOT, and the Engineers department.  He would also like to have one of the Trustees go to the Township meetings and thank them personally.  Strad will go to Canton Township, and Baum will go to Osnaburg Township.

 

Baum also stated that Alisson Roberts, Ron Katt, and himself, will be going to the landfill for an update on the odor control system.

Zoning Report

Perrine stated that the Zoning Appeals Board had an appeal meeting concerning Stanley miller for the .5 acre expansion required by the court.  The appeals did vote it down again.

 

She also went to the damage assessment meeting with Pahanish, with Anstine coming later.  She went thru some of the requirements that we will need to do including what is and what won’t be covered.

 

Joe Little excavating will be doing the cleanup on the 28th to the Sherlin property.

 

Also, there was a talk about getting name tags for the employees for identification purposes.  The Trustees agreed to have them made for everyone.

 

Perrine also stated that the carpet needs cleaned.  The Trustees agreed and she will find someone to do it.

 

She also checked on Dolphin generators.  They recommended getting one that would start in the event of an outage automatically.  The Trustees stated that they would look into it further.

 

She would also like a plan put together in the event of an Emergency.  Who to call, the numbers, etc.
