Pike Township Trustees Special

Special Meeting

 

Doug Baum called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  Trustee Bob Anstine was present as well as Clerk Steve Knox.  Others in attendance were David Ross, Charlie Hall, Wayne Woods, Mike Caudill, Mayor of East Sparta Jackie Truax, and 2 East Sparta Village Council Members.

                         

 

1^st Public Speaks Session

 

A discussion was started about the possibility of the East Sparta Council wanting to annex property on Cleveland Avenue.

 

The council has a 51% majority, but put things on hold to see if something can be worked out between the Village, the Township, and the residents.

 

Mr. Wood gave Charlie Hall a list of questions about his situation and the possibility that he could be annexed against his will.  The Board agreed that it would be okay for Charlie to review the questions and respond back to the Board with the answers.

 

Mr. Hall suggested that the Boards should really try to come to some sort of agreement that would be in the best interest of everyone rather than ending up in court.

 

The council stated that plot maps are at the Village laying out the area in which the Village would like to annex.  The maps can be viewed by anyone during normal office hours. 

 

It was agreed that Mr. Hall and Doug Baum will go to the Village to view the plot maps.

 

A motion was made by Anstine to adjourn at 7:22p.m.  Seconded by Baum.
