Nancy Cramer wanted to thank Lee Strad for organizing the neighborhood meeting concerning the landfill.

Alison developed an address list for odor complaints.  She asked whether the Trustees can organize a meeting or go to the representatives on behalf of the residents.

Baum said they can definitely get in contact with the Reps, but he wasn’t sure what the topic would be beyond what they have already taken to them.  She said odor control as well as going over or reviewing some of the other issues that plague the Township Residents.

She also asked whether the Township could possible purchase a scale to use by the police so they can weigh the trash trucks more frequently.  The Trustees stated that they could, but they are not sure that it would be the best opportunity to spend approximately $40,000.

Also, if anyone is interested, she is asking that anyone interested in joining a Citizens Group to be informed about what is happening at the landfill, give her their name and number.

Last, she stated that the it came out in the organized meeting that the EPA wants to know about any quality of life issues that the residents are dealing with due to the landfill.

Ron Katt stated that someone at the meeting stated that the residents can call the Auditors office to get their taxes lowered.  The Trustees agreed that this is a viable option.

Tom O’Dell stated that he would like the Trustees to write a letter to Countywide allowing the Sheriff to use the scales at the landfill to weigh trucks going into the landfill to see if they are in weight.  The Trustees stated that they already have done that.
