Pike Township Trustees Special Monday, February 13th  06

Strad checked into the cost of having police coverage for 6 months out of the year at 40 hrs a week.  The cost would be around $33,000 for this time frame.  The advantage is that we can tell them where, when, and what time we want them to work.

Grooms stated his concern that we don’t have much crime in the Township, so would it actually pay to do this?

Strad will invite someone from the Sheriff’s office to present the offer and answer any questions that residents and Trustees may have.

Pahanish stated that he will be going to Grader Training Course from February 21st thru the 25th.  Dale will also be going to welding training on a different date.

The Trustees made it mandatory that all of the road crew go to some kind of training.

The Trustees also received a mowing  bid which Knox will hold until the appropriate time.

A motion was made by Anstine to adjourn at 9:10.  Seconded by Strad.
