Special Meeting
President Lee Strad called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Trustees Bob Anstine and Doug Baum were present, as well as Clerk Steve Knox. Others in attendance were Road Supervisor Mark Pahanish, and Louis Grooms.
New Business
The Trustees discussed whether there was anywhere that we would want to slurry this year. Pahanish stated that we could Slurry Farber Road. The trustees agreed to Slurry Farber Road from state route 800 east to the Township line. Also should stripe that one. Should put a bid out for it since it will be over the $15,000 limit.
Then discussed Howenstine. Paving $10,000 for the top.
Maplehurst paving would be around $3,500.
To pave it costs $45,000 to do Pleasant Lake Allotment.
Could chip and seal it, but they have done that the last two times. The Trustees agreed to bid it out.
Chip and Seal list:
Briggle from Battlesburg to Downing. About $6,000.
Maplehurst from the city limits to Battlesburg. $10,000
Howenstine. From Greenhill Cabin to Sandy. $5,000
Maplehurst from Ridge to Battlesburg.$8,000
Seamen from Dueber to Brinker $13,000
South end of Bowmont $9,000
Melscheimer is $4,500
Pleasant Lake allotment $9,000 if we don’t pave it.
Ullet, Briggle to Dueber $7,000.
Anstine stated that something needs to be done with the turn on Elson.
The Trustees would like to get an opinion from the Engineers about what they should do with that issue.
Anstine said that if we would want to, we could go in to a consortium to do paving. The trustees agreed to look into that.
Anstine would like to not have us pave anymore due to legality reasons. They all agreed.
52,000 + = 87,000 for the truck.
Cemetery’s were discussed next. The Trustees would like to hire two part time people for 500 a piece hours. $9.00 per hour would be 9,000 for the year. They agreed to work in that direction.
A motion to adjourn at 7:05.
