President Lee Strad called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Trustees Doug Baum and Bob Anstine were present. Others in attendance were Road Supervisor Mark Pahanish, Louis & Violet Grooms, Bob and Nancy Brunoni, Nancy Cramer, Homer and Julia Calkins, Gary Knepper Jr., Clarence Flowers, James and Terri Davis, and Lester Pike, and Zoning Inspector Sharon Perrine.

A motion was made by Anstine to accept the minutes and financial report as presented. Seconded by Baum.

Lester Pike asked about what was happening with Maplehurst? Strad stated that as far as they know, there isn’t anything being done at this point.

Peggy wanted to see if the Trustees knew anything about the new Zoning Annexation by the East Sparta Village. The Trustees stated that they didn’t know anything about the posting in the Press-News, but Baum stated that he thought that really didn’t have to do anything with her annexation, but he is not sure. Baum stated that he would check on it.

Clarence Flowers asked about the off ramp update. Strad said there wasn’t really anything going on right now. He went on to say that a week from tomorrow, there are 4 cases next Tuesday which involve the Landfill.

Nancy Collier stated that the Fire Department is still looking for a place to put the tower. The initial piece of private property did not work out. The Trustees said that they could possibly help with the purchase of land. Probably would need about an acre.

Grooms stated that the area on Maplehurst needs cleaned up and fixed up.

A motion was made to go into Executive Session for personnel at 7:50.

A motion was made to adjourn Executive Session.

A motion was made by Anstine to suspend Gary Knepper Jr. for two days, for failing to notify the Trustees that he caused damage to Township property. Seconded by Baum.

Pahanish read the road report.

Ditched on Maplehurst.

Cleanup on Bowmont and Keifer ditches.

Mowed the roads, shop and cemeteries.

Picked up roller that we are borrowing.

Northstar repaved the allotment.

The Trustees asked Pahanish about when Northstar will be doing Maplehurst.

Cleanup day is Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 1:00.

Flowers asked about the road above his house. Strad said that probably within the next month or so.

Strad stated that the Trustees would like to start receiving accident reports if anything is broken on any of the equipment. Even if it is a taillight.
