Others in attendance were Louis Grooms, Carol Barto, Mark Pahanish, Richard Mahoney, Nancy Cramer, Audrey Malavite, Wayne Casto, Nancy Snyder, and Sharron Perrine.

A motion was made by Baum to accept the minutes and financial report as presented. Second by Anstine.

1st Public Speaks Session

Nancy Cramer asked who to call about a deer on Haut. Pahanish stated that they would take care of it.

Wayne Casto asked if the Township made any progress with cleaning up the house on 5747 Maplehurst. The Zoning Inspector contacted the Health Department. The owner stated that they plan on cleaning up the house and moving in. They put some boards up and the Health Dept. has given her 30 days to clean up the solid waste.

A heated discussion between all of the Trustees and the Road Supervisor about the length of time the road crew should work. Baum thought that during extended snow removal, that 16 hour shifts would work, but Strad argued that it should only be 12 hour shifts. After a long debate, it was agreed that it should stay at 16 hours for now.

New Business

Anstine continues to work on getting information and history on the Greenridge Cemetery. This could be a future cemetery of the Township, so he is trying to get records on it now.

Baum and Perrine reviewed the property line at the Williams Tree Farm. There has been an ongoing problem with the property line, and where a fence should be put up.

Baum discussed the possibility of finishing the middle bay in the garage area.

Keys to the gates on Dueber Ave. became an issue when the Fire Department couldn’t get through. Pahanish will make a few extra sets for them to carry in the fire trucks.

Strad talked about the electricity problem at the Dueber Fire House, as well as the electric in the Township Office. Baum said he would contact a few people to look at repairing as well as updating the electric.

Barto complained about the fumes coming out of the Furnace. This is caused from the trucks running in the middle bay, while the furnace is running. Knox gave Pahanish the name of someone in the Township who works on furnaces.

Strad would like to recommend paying off the lease for the Gradall. Knox agreed that the Township should do this.

He also talked about bricking part of the outside office. Baum said he will work on it.

Financial Report

Knox stated that he will need to purchase a laser printer, as well as the need to purchase new checks due to the upgraded system.

Zoning

Sharon Perrine went over the zoning report.

Judge ruled to postpone Miller’s until February 5th, 2005.

She went on to state that a lot of letters went out to clean up, and the responses have been pretty good.

Road Report

Pahanish read the road report.

Mostly plowed snow and patched holes.

He would like the Trustees to again, consider purchasing a roller with the Sandy Township Trustees.
