Regular Meeting

 

President Lee Strad called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Trustees Doug Baum and Bob Anstine were present as well as Clerk Steve Knox.  Others in attendance were Mary Bair, Nancy Cramer, James and Terri Davis, Dave Collier, Tim Vandersoll, David Ross, Louis & Violet Grooms, Tom O’dell, and Clarence Flowers.

 

A motion was made by Anstine to accept the minutes and financial report as presented.  Seconded by Baum.

1st Public Speaks Session

 

There was a discussion about the landfill appeal, and what it means for the on and off ramp.

 

 

New Business

 

A motion was made by Anstine to go into executive session for personnel policy and procedures at 8:54 p.m.  Seconded by Baum.

A motion was made to adjourn executive session by Anstine at 9:26.  Seconded by Baum.

 

Baum made a motion to place written reprimands for two employees into their personnel files.    Seconded by Strad.

A motion was made by Anstine to allow the employees to earn comp time and use as needed.  Seconded by Baum.

A motion was made by Anstine to purchase two reflective sweatshirts for each road crew member.  Seconded by Baum.

Old Business

 

Anstine called the Engineers about replacing a sign on Battlesburg.  A new sign has been erected.

He also talked to them about the pine trees on Seamen and they stated that they were working on them.

 

Anstine looked at the property that was in question at the last meeting in Stinewood allotment and agreed that the retaining wall that was built should come down.  Sharon will contact the resident about the Boards decision and we will take it down.

 

Baum attended the Zoning Commission meeting.  Joe Mezquita stated that he is up for appointment, and doesn’t know if he will be available next year as they may be moving.

 

 

Financial Report

 

Knox stated that the County Auditor needs a resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor.

 

Resolution # 12-2005 was entered into accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor.

 

A motion was made by Anstine accepting the above resolution.  Seconded by Baum.

Knox also stated that the new printer is in for the Accu-globe system.

 

 

Zoning Report

 

Nothing at this time.

 

Road Report

 

Pahanish stated that they have been plowing snow, hauling stone, and cutting brush.

The Trustees agreed that they need to remove the beaver dam so it doesn’t flood the area when it rains.

Also, there was a discussion about comp time.  Boston would be the only one to really use it and they can keep track of it on the calendar in the back.

 

Pahanish also asked about possibly setting up 2006 to get paid every two weeks.  Knox said he would look into it.

 

Anstine received the work agreement from the resident who’s property the Township would like to cut the brush back on so we can widen the road.

 

Baum stated that he would like to have a meeting in April about the Bear Creek run.

 

 

March 20th, 2006 will be the date that the Board tries to get the necessary parties together for a meeting.
